hey ppl!! its 2 days to syf!! how are all of you guys feeling?:) must have confidence alright? the instructors already said that we CAN get gold and MAY an even higher award(?) hehehe! so happy and excited now!

as what jess said in the previous post, it was really great and touching to see all of you work so super hard for co despite all the stress from everywhere (aka academic work, parents ETC ETC) especially the inexperienced players!! when i auditioned you guys, i was REALLY impressed!! you guys learnt really quickly and i'm VERYVERY proud of all of you!!:) also, those experienced players who sacrificed everything to teach the others! its really touching to see all of you work together as 1 and bonding together!! LOVE YOU GUYSSS!!:)

so 2 more days! press on ppl! we'll be able to do it! all you have to do is remember what all the instructors, conductor, teachers-in-charge, SLs, exco ETC ETC told you guys!! and rmb to STARE at shen lao shi on stage!! haha! FOCUS GUYS!! ignore the rest of the world and just get lost in the music~

Heya ACCO! :)

It has been a tough time for all of us, since we have to juggle our parents' expectations, our studies, CO and almost everything else..... But, we still made it through and we all grow stronger and closer, just like a family! :D

Many of the J1s are inexperienced,  yet they still practice so hard... it's really touching and reassuring for me and I really want to thank all of you! For the experienced J1s, it has been hard on you too, to be teachers and mentors to those inexperienced members. Thanks a lot too!

For the J2s, yes, this period is when we will be the most stressed. But, everyone, let's stay together as a big family and work towards putting in our utmost best in whatever we do. :)

GAMBATTE EVERYONE, WE MUST HAVE THE RESILIENT ATTITUDE LIKE THE JAPANESE! :)

hey guys!! March camp was a great success thanks to all of you! i hope all of you had fun and got to know each other better! of course not to forget the hours of self sectionals! it was effective! you guys improved and played better for wed's combined prac and made shen lao shi happier:) yay! now for photos:)

anyways, i hope all of you will rmb this camp FOR LIFE! and use the friendships you've made to pull through term 2 together! we WILL be able to get our gold/gold with honours for syf if you guys continue to work hard!! and we should aim to survive through this term and getting the best for everything! (this includes EXAMS btw) it wont be easy but i believe that all of you will be able to do it:)
and cherish your seniors! haha! there's only 3-4 months before we retire and you wont see us every week anymore! AWW:(

Hi All!

This is a reminder that all of you have to go shopping for your WHITE LONG-SLEEVED SHIRT, BLACK SHOES and TIES! ( SPOT CHECK AKA ATTIRE CHECK IS ON 26TH MARCH 2011!) For your information, the SPOT CHECK  is for your shirt, shoes and ties. Please also try to borrow your blazers/skirt/pants also. If you cannot, a tailor/seamstress is coming down on the 2nd April to take measurements.

The following are the various criteria for the above-mentioned items, please MAKE SURE that what you buy matches with ALL of the criteria!

1. WHITE LONG-SLEEVED SHIRT

- Make sure that it is for formal wear.
- It must have buttons, and the buttons must be of the same colour as the shirt.
- It must have a proper shirt collar, NO mandarin collars or any other weird collars. Collars must be of  the
  same colour as the shirt.
- NO FRILLS/LACE ALLOWED!
- If your shirt has a pocket, but it is covered by the blazers, it is OKAY!
- It must be PLAIN WHITE, no other designs allowed. No patches of colours allowed!
- Please keep the receipt with you, in case you need to exchange or refund!
- If there is woman's cutting, it is OKAY!
- Please make sure that you can tuck in your white shirt too!
- Can go to Robinsons, Dano, G2000 (if you are rich)
- Best shopping centre: JURONG POINT!!!

2. BLACK SHOES

Girls:
- NO stilettos
- Must have a heel, but no thin heels allowed. (If not, you may fall down and sprain your ankle!)
- Rounded front, NO SHARP FRONTS ( If not, you may kill people)
- NO GLOSSY/SHINY SURFACES
- NO STRAPS
- NO BUCKLES
- NO OTHER DESIGNS ALLOWED. IT SHOULD BE PLAIN BLACK!

Guys:
- MUST BE  LACED SHOES, NO STRAPS/BUCKLES
- For formal wear
- NO GLOSSY/SHINY SURFACES
- MUST BE PLAIN BLACK, NO PATCHES OF COLOUR

3. Tie:

Please try to borrow your ties from your friends from Choir/Student Council/ Debate/ AC Barker friends. If not, please go and buy the ties at the bookshop! It is about $6 to $8.

For girls, you have to wear stockings! Except the cello girls who will be wearing pants instead. Please make sure that the stockings is of the same skin colour!
