About us

The Anglo-Chinese Junior College Chinese Orchestra has been a team of dedicated and passionate young musicians with a goal of promoting traditional Chinese music. They have participated in various events and competitions and in recent years, have clinched two consecutive gold awards in the Singapore Youth Festival.
Our instructors include:

Conductor and Percussion teacher — Mr Shen Guo Qin (SCO Percussionist)
Xuan Yue teacher – Mr Li Bao Shun (SCO Concert Master and Xuan Yue Section Leader)
Tan Bo teacher – Ms Yu Jia (SCO Tan Bo Section Leader)
Guan Yue teacher – Mr Guo Chang Suo (SCO Guan Yue Section Leader)
Cello/Bass teacher – Mr Qu Feng (SCO Double Bassist)

hey guys!! March camp was a great success thanks to all of you! i hope all of you had fun and got to know each other better! of course not to forget the hours of self sectionals! it was effective! you guys improved and played better for wed's combined prac and made shen lao shi happier:) yay! now for photos:)

who can forget our dear welfare who bought so many cakes and prepared mdm sim's birthday cum retirement celebration plus the jan/feb/march babies birthday celebration:)

anyways, i hope all of you will rmb this camp FOR LIFE! and use the friendships you've made to pull through term 2 together! we WILL be able to get our gold/gold with honours for syf if you guys continue to work hard!! and we should aim to survive through this term and getting the best for everything! (this includes EXAMS btw) it wont be easy but i believe that all of you will be able to do it:)
and cherish your seniors! haha! there's only 3-4 months before we retire and you wont see us every week anymore! AWW:(
